I’ve been using SF since 1993, training managers and coaches in SF since 2005, mainly with Mark McKergow and Jenny Clarke’s SFWork, and Kirsten Dierolf’s Solutions Academy.
I’ve created a number of SF models, including iFLOW Time Mastery, RADAR anti-procrastination, MAGIC negotiation, R4 Delegation, Brief Mindfulness stress reduction/focus enhancement and the ORA solution focus lens.
My current focus is on applying SF to the world of Agile software development and Agile Transformation. In this world I’ve changed my name (back) to Roy Marriott – but many of you know me by my Buddhist name of Shakya Kumara.

You are the expert on your business and life—my expertise is in:
Facilitating conversations to navigate change Creating powerhouse thinking spaces to shift perspectives and release creativity. Boosting engagement and momentum by amplifying strengths and successes. Making change easier means setting a compass for how you want things to be different, and shining a light on what’s helping to get you there. This approach accelerates your progress and should maybe even carry a health warning – side effects may include laughter, reduced stress and intrinsic motivation.
Susie Ingram served as Pastoral Manager at Beechen Cliff School in Bath, where she helped pioneer a whole-school approach to wellbeing grounded in the Solution Focus method. Working closely with school counsellor Tara Gretton, she co-led the introduction of Solution Focused counselling and communication across staff, students, and parents.
Her leadership, and the leadership of teachers, helped create a more open, positive school culture and supported the delivery of over 1,000 counselling sessions each year.
Tara is the founder of Solution Revolution and co-founder of The Blossoming Family. She fell in love with the Solution Focus approach in 2002 and is on a mission to share this magical approach with schools, children, young people and families. Tara also feels passionate about hearing young people’s voices and loves to train the young in the solution-focused approach.
Tara also enjoys working with musicians, actors and breath workers, where they bring the magic of SF and the arts together.
