Marika Tammeaid
Introduced by Carey Glass This article is short yet packs much thoughtful punch. It provides two practical tools for use in large scale change.
The first tool is a spin-off from the concept of an SF scale. It represents hierarchical organisations as a ladder to enable thinking about interactions from all perspectives; the broad perspective of leadership to the coalface perspective of staff.
The second is an elegant way of mapping the continuum and need for organisational stability, or change, against the level of environmental uncertainty. It provides a fantastically, manageable way of representing complexity for practical engagement and outcomes.
Inge-Nijkamp, John Brooker
A Fresh Eye – Introduction Most of us want to learn from the masters, the long experienced, to help us refine our work. Yet, for people new to SF, it is perhaps encouraging and useful to learn how other inexperienced people have approached their work using SF. For more experienced practitioners, beginners can bring a fresh eye and perhaps introduce novel ways of using SF. As such, we aim to highlight this work whenever we can.
Rod Sherwin
Introduced by John Brooker Adie Shariff and Alison Abington published a case study about the Solution Focused Strategy Canvassing in 2010 in InterAction. You can find the original article here: https://sfwork.com/resources/interaction/s6-Vol2-1-6.pdf
The paper describes the use of SF strategy canvassing as “a way to support managers to develop and implement a strategy in practical and pragmatic ways, so to align people at all levels in the organisation in a collective effort…”.
elvira-kalmer
Introduced by Annette Gray Elvira Kalmar presents an inspiring Case Study session on how, as an Organisational Development consultant, she worked in a Solution Focus way with her client Invitech to bring about an agile transformation fast and with incredible lightness.
Elvira engaged me as she described her approach (or lack of process as she explained), allowing the client to be the expert in their world, helping them define what agile transformation would look like and co-creating the steps along the way.
Elvira Kalmár, Go Beyond Project, powered by Solutionsurfers® who supported the transformation and offers Solution Focused Organisation Development and Design courses (Native in Change) in Hungary, Switzerland and Belgium, and supports Organisations and Consultants with online mentoring.
I have over 25 years’ experience as a registered clinical psychologist, executive coach (ICF-PCC) and OD practitioner.
Previously I held senior Marketing, OD and Consulting roles in corporate business, SME’s and consultancies in the UK and South Africa and latterly I have had my base in Singapore, for the past 14 years. I have worked on both large and
small scale change, transformation and mergers and acquisitions.
My expertise and passion lead me to bring about positive change in complex and messy situations. I have contributed to management journals, newsletters and magazines and have been a contributing author to books on Adoption, Coaching and SF in Asia.
Experienced organisation developer and people coach. Member of Board Of Directors with 25 years of experience of working in management functions in non-profit and profit organisations. Business development professional skilled in Leadership and Management, Sustainable Development, Corporate Social Responsibility, Entrepreneurship and External Relations.
Solution Focus is for me more an approach than a tool and I deal with:
- Coaching, team coaching and Supervision in business context
- Management training
- Applied research in the SF field Supporting the development of awareness to improve relationships between people is the goal of my work.
This is what drives me to continuously develop the SF approach, in sharing with my community of practice. The SF Community is a very inclusive and warm community. A Space for reflection, developing and friendships. I have developed tools, techniques, I have written articles, participated in national and international conferences, held workshops and training courses in SF Coaching and published the results of my work.
